By pretending to be a bit, well, mad, a jester could tell truth to power with even greater impunity. Perhaps we all need to go a little mad sometimes. The Madman is a Columbia Valley red blend - 48% Syrah/28% Cabernet Franc/24% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aged 94% neutral French oak and 6% new French oak for 18 months.

"Peppery florals, dark herbal tones, mocha and black currants waft up from the 2020 The Madman. It’s round and soothing on the palate with ripe mineral-tinged black fruits that penetrate deeply toward the close. It finishes structured and long, staining the senses with primary concentration as nuances of sweet mint and lavender fade. It will take some cellaring to soften these tannins, but the Madman is packed with enough fruit to last. It’s a blend of 48% Syrah, 28% Cabernet Franc, and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon."
